I have a vinyl banner I have become a bag. How I can do this?
I have a 6ftx4ft vinyl banner I wanted to have turn into a kind of bag. Instead of throwing out the flag, I recycle. Does anyone know of any vendors?
What kind of bag that want? Handbag? Tote? Or a storage bag for things you put in the basement or garage? Regardless – if you know what you want it to look like, sketch their design on paper and add details such as straps, closures, zipper, etc. Look around for sources of equipment – zippers, brooches, bracelets, etc, handles, and everything you need to set the straps, if you do not wan stitching. Finding the way you want to cut the flag if necessary, and how you want the letters on the banner to appear in the bag. Refine the drawing until it is decent of course, and you can show someone who can understand what you want with only minimal explanation from you. Then take the picture and flag to a shoe repair shop. They generally have sewing machine that can handle thick fabrics, leather, etc. If you are not busy, probably will be happy work with you. I used different stores like this for the repair of sporting goods, and had the good luck. You will be charged for their time, but probably not anything outrageous, unless you have a complex design. You can always ask about the fee before providing all, of course. And if you can not find a store shoe repair, try to buy a sailboat, if you're near the coast, or a repair shop awnings. Or look in the yellow pages for repair awning, canvas repair, etc.
