Where I can donate or recycle old books in San Diego?
My parents are cleaning out the garage to make room for their new car. We have a lot things perfectly well – in particular books – I'm trying to find out (recycling, giving to the will, etc) because if they do, I'll just throw all in the dumpster. In particular the books, I plan to give local libraries or schools, but many of them are old and outdated (like my grandmother's old books from the 1970 and 80 in Freudian psychoanalysis – it was a psychologist or counselor). I live in San Diego. I'm looking for, but does anyone else know about the options in this area? Goodwill (I say) do not accept books.

Also try craigslist for listing your unwanted items. For San Diego, the specific link http://sandiego.craigslist.org/ Under the "sale" category, they can write in any of the "books" (if you want to sell even five cents each!) Or category "Free" (current listings include up to a garage "free / tag / yard sale") Prison libraries are often looking for books. contact the chaplain of the local prison to see if that is an avenue for third world countries often looking for books., connect with some of their local churches to see if anyone being done charities such.
